Thermo plastics
The VEB series are particularly useful for making up batches of asphalt from new aggregate (especially if there is a special specification required), and producing coloured asphalt.
The VEB can also be used to make asphalt using recycled low density thermo-plastics as the binder and, as hygiene is not a factor in its specification, the cleanliness of the plastic material is not a problem. The effectiveness of using recycled thermo-plastics is becoming common in the USA and India.
“…the bitumen, mixed with plastic flakes made from domestic wastes, displays better hardness, better resistance to water penetration and hence lasts longer.”

Landfill Tax rise – The Asphalt Recycler can save you up to £1,600 per week!
The latest news from the budget (March 07) is that landfill tax will increase by £8 per tonne every year.
Using the Asphalt Recycler will save £1600 in landfill tax every week!
The Asphalt Recycler is capable of producing a minimum of 200 tonnes of high quality bituminous material per week for either base course or wearing course. This is particularly effective when screened planings of 6mm or less are used as provides a higher quality wearing course. Planings are a high quality bitumen product and are no longer considered to be ‘just a ‘hard’ sub-base’.
RSL’s confidence in the fact that the VEB series can produce 200 tonnes of base or ‘wearing / surface’ course for under £13 per tonne arises from the confirmed feedback from RSL operators working directly with the VEB series.
Don’t take our word for it….
An East Sussex contractor currently has one VEB 16000 on hire. Early feedback indicates that the VEB is surpassing contractor expectations and the contractor has already scheduled future work for the plant.
